Too Much Doubt! \u00a0Help us stop the execution of Troy Davis!\u00a0<\/strong>Join Amnesty International and our allies, including the\u00a0Washington Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0ACLU<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0NAACP<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0&\u00a0Equal Justice<\/a><\/strong>, in an\u00a0International Day of Solidarity with Troy Davis<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>on Friday, September 16, 5 – 7 pm at Westlake Park<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Speakers so far confirmed are Magdaleno (Leno) Rose-Avila<\/strong>, whose lengthy resume includes being the Western Director for AIUSA’s Campaign to Abolish the Death Penalty, and a former AIUSA board member; Gerald Hankerson<\/strong> – current Vice President of the Seattle NAACP, who was freed from prison after serving 23 years of a life sentence for a crime he didn’t commit; and Sarah Craft<\/strong> from Equal Justice USA.<\/p>\n

Troy Davis’ execution date has been set for\u00a0September 21, 2011<\/strong>\u00a0by the state of Georgia, even thought serious doubts remain and the case against him has fallen apart.<\/p>\n
